Arkansas Infantry |

Organized 1861 at
Camp Springs Meeting Ground near Vanndale.
Surrendered with General Joseph E Johnston in
Greensboro, North Carolina 26 April 1865. The
Company fought in the battles of Perryville,
Murfreesboro, Chickamauga and the Battle of
Atlanta. Under the command of Colonel David C
Cross and Captain Will Trader. |

Company C of the 13th
Arkansas Infantry |
|
Organized 1861 at
Camp Springs Meeting Ground. Surrendered at
Wittsburg 1865. Placed in division commanded by
General Patrick R Cleburne. Fought in battles
at Belmont, Missouri, Shiloh. Reorganized and J
M Levesque became Captain. This unit fought at
Perryville, Richmond and Murfreesboro. Benjamin
Harris First Captain. |

Company K of the 23rd
Arkansas Infantry |

Tom Westmoreland of
Poinsett County Captain. Drew men from Cross
County area 1862. Surrendered at Port Hudson on
the Mississippi River. |

Arkansas Cavalry |

Organized at
Pineville in the spring of 1863. First Unit
after Arkansas incorporated. I N Deadrick,
Captain. Also known as Captain James H McGhee
Regiment. Surrendered at Wittsburg 24 May 1865
under the command of General Jeff Thompson. |

Arkansas Cavalry |

Both A and B were
attached to Dobbins Brigade which was part of
division commanded by General Fagan. |
